Precise Carrom Boards

Precise took over from Surco as the industry leader back in the 1990s. They were the first to develop their “Super-Smooth” waterproof and scratch resistant playing surface, a huge improvement over Surco’s fragile finish. They also pioneered the reinforcement of their frames with a formica strip, necessary when old-growth shisham wood was no longer available. This increased rebound dramatically and prevented indentation of the frame by hard-hit strikers. All of our manufacturers followed their lead so our line of carromboards all share these features.

Precise also improved the joining of the corners and the finish of the frame, making boards that cracked less and are truly world class and of export quality. They quickly became the leader in competition carromboards approved by the AICF and ICF for tournament use. They are still being used today in major championships.

Today, Precise boards are still of very high quality but are considered “old-school” in their use of back-bracing and heavy frames. Their Champion Elegant is highly regarded by professional, Indian players and is considered to be one of the finest boards made.
