Our most popular model, the "Winit", has an 8mm Indian ply playing surface with the standard eight-point compass design. The surface is nicely finished while the shisham wood frame is thick enough to give good rebound to a well-struck striker (more than 3 rebounds). With the extra backbracing and heavier materials, this board is a signficant step up from the "Ellora" or "Billiboard" and approaches the playing characteristics of the better boards. Available with a black painted frame ("seconds" only) or a clear, natural finish (shown here).
Note that the corrugated fastners
used to join the frame at the corners may be visible through the clear finish
(see above). They are also apparent on the black frame models as the paint
sometimes chips away from on top of them (thereby making them "seconds").
