Precise Industries has significantly improved the quality of carromboards available from India. With their superfast frames, extra smooth playing surface, sturdy construction, and superior finish, Precise models are a cut above any other Asian manufacturers. Precise Champion boards were used in the Third World Carrom Championship in 2000 and are now standard for All-India Carrom Federation tournaments.
We now offer three different models to choose from, all
with black painted frames and either Natural (Indian ply) or Elegant (Baltic
Birch) playing surfaces. All boards have compass point center design and
come with coins and striker. (Natural boards come with Champion coins and
tournament striker - Elegant boards come with Break to Finish coins and
Imitation Ivory striker.

details)
Excell - This entry-level board features a narrow hardwood frame and a Natural surface. Surprisingly fast for $150.
Amateur - Choose either Natural ($200) or Elegant ($240 ) playing surface with this excellent mid-grade board.
Champion - These true tournament boards are available in either Natural ($250) or Elegant ($300) surface.
Precise has pioneered a new technology to increase rebounds from the standard three and a half to five or six. This makes for very fast action and helps develop the light touch characteristic of tournament play. Even the Excell model will give increased rebound over any other Indian board.
*Guarantee: If you are not completely satisfied, you may return any Precise board at your expense for a full refund of the purchase price.
The Indian industry standard, SURCO carromboards are hand-made at a cottage industry in an industrial section of Bombay. Just like the Precise boards, the playing surface on a Surco carromboard is made of plywood of varying thicknesses (see specs) supported on the backside with a latticework of thin hardwood braces to prevent warpage. Surco frames are all made of shisham wood, known for its good rebounding characteristics, and come with either a clear finish or black high gloss enamel.
(Note that the natural finish on the Champion boards shows some crackling on the top of the frame where the two frame members join. This is purely cosmetic and in no way affects play. The price of these boards has already been reduced from $275 to $225 reflecting this slight defect.)
Prices for SURCO carromboards range from $75 for the beginner
/ family board (Ellora), $140 for the
most popular adult model (Winit with
natural finish) and $250, and $300 for the top-of-the-line tournament boards
(Tiger, Champion,
and Bull-Dog). (see specs
for details)
All boards come complete with matched coins and standard striker (see
specs for details)

Our Billiboards house brand, manufactured in Meerut, normally sells for $100. We only have slightly irregular pieces left, however, now on sale for $60. The playing surface is 12mm plywood with a light-colored veneer. The frame is made of shisham wood, either painted black or unfinished, and there is no latticework backbracing. It doesn't play quite as well as the "Winit" but is better than the "Ellora." You can use a tournament striker with good results.
